Perfect, just what I was looking for. And the storage space is a great bonus
Originally I thought the stairs would be more flimsy since they are hollow, but they are actually sturdy and do not fall over. The zippers on the sides keep the stairs stable and do not come undone. I have carried these stairs around plenty of times and my puppies love using it to get up on the couch or simply to perch at the window. I have not stored anything inside yet though, but it is a nice option to have. With nothing inside, the four step stairs do have a light heft to them, I'd say maybe 12 lbs, but that is because the steps are built sturdy. The steps are soft to the touch but have no cushion and I think that's good for stability.
It took some time for my puppies to get used to it, but after a couple months of having these stairs, they have found it to be very comfortable and sometimes they will rest on top of it. Very much worth the cost!
I was not expecting much for the price, but surprisingly it is built sturdy and the storage compartments are a plus. It was Easy to put together and is the perfect height for my chi to climb on the couch.
